Mission Achieves Coveted 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator

The Allentown Rescue Mission announces that we have received a 4-Star overall rating from Charity Naviator, the leading charity evaluator. The Mission received this highest rating for efficiently managing and growing its finances. Just one quarter of the charities evaluated will receive this rating.

In a letter from Ken Berger, Charity Navigator's President and Chief Executive Officer, the rating indicates that the "Allentown Rescue Mission executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. This 'exceptional' designation… differentiates Allentown Rescue Mission from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust."

Financial Information

The Mission's 2010 Fiscal Year was July 1, 2009-June 30, 2010. The audit was conducted by Campbell, Rappold, and Yurasits of Allentown, PA, in July 2010. The final results will be available by September 24, 2010. These are the unaudited results for income. When final financial data is available, these pages will be changed and re-dated using data from the audited report
